Re-opening of school June 1st

Good morning

Now that the Government have confirmed that the conditions are right to begin re-opening schools I can confirm that we will be beginning to re-open on Monday June 1st.

If you have let a member of staff know your child is coming you will now have a start time. These are staggered to allow for children to be taught in groups of up to 7 children and to allow social distancing. Please keep to this time. we will be there to greet you.

If you have told us that your child is not coming and wish to change your mind please let us know as soon as possible. After Monday you will need to give a week's notice that you wish your child to attend. The numbers at the moment mean that we can definitely teach your child in a class where the children will be as socially distanced as promised and where the hygiene and cleaning will be thorough.

As you will have seen on the news, if there is an outbreak of the virus in the Sandwell area the lockdown may be started again and schools would be closed. This may happen at short notice.

On the Key Information section of the website I have put the Risk Assessment for you to see if you wish. This takes you through in detail how school will be run.

Finally, please remember if you have other vulnerable members of your family it is important that when your child returns home from school they wash their hands carefully.

Enjoy the weekend and I look forward to seeing you back at school.

Keep well,

Dr James
